The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said that around 11,542 people from 2,750 families were affected due to adverse weather conditions experienced in the Sabaragamuwa, Western, Northwestern and from Southern provinces.
Issuing a ground report yesterday, the DMC said three deaths have confirmed from Warakapola in Kegalle district and from Nagoda in Galle District.
According to the report, there have been no complete damages to houses were reported, but there were 205 partial damages. Also incidents were reported from Kegalla, Colombo, Gampaha and from Matara districts, the DMC said.
175 people from 42 families have been sent to safe locations in Colombo, they added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
