They are the original Sri Lankans. They should have more rights than the decedents of Vijaya.
They should be given at least 5 seats as MP through the list in Parliament .

I think the Veddahs did a better job in preserving their land before the court system came into operaion in this country.

These Vadda Communities are the guardians and protectors of the land and soil. Actually these people are the real original countrymen. Roman Dutch Law can't impose order against them!

There you are once again !
Don't look at them in disdain...and you think you can comment on what is wright or wrong..

Ananda, were they resident all over Sri Lanka? If so the 13th Amendment needs to be scrapped.

Visiting them yesterday am wondering if this community will be there in the future as the younger generation has started going to school and might shift to other related work. The crowd that comes to see them and disturb their surroundings should be curtained and give them at least 2 to 3 days of non visits by public. The Vedda kids are asking for money which is not a healthy sign.. They should be left in their habitat on their own for a while and give them freedom to walk in any part of the country.

We should protect their rights. They are an innocent community who has more rights for the land than us. Also it is good if we can have few MPs from this community.

COURT VERDICT MUST BE RESPECTED BUT I AM HIGHLY WORRIED ABOUT VEDDAS COMMUNITY IF THEY FORGO THE LAND
