Sumana thero released on bail

The Colombo High Court today ordered the release of Ven. Uvathenne Sumana Thero, on a cash bail of Rs. 100,000 and a split personal bail of Rs.1 million by two sureties each. The thero was indicted for possessing explosives and fires arms.

State Counsel told Judge that the Attorney General had no objection to the releases of the suspect on bail.

Ven. Sumana Thera was ordered to report to the CID once a week. (TFT)
