USL steals the show at SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards

Unilever Sri Lanka stormed into the spotlight at SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards 2015, with the company’s two biggest and best loved brands, Lifebuoy and Sunlight, collectively bagging four awards.
Lifebuoy, Unilever Sri Lanka’s flagship germ-protection brand, took home the ‘FMCG Brand of the Year’, ‘FMCG Personal Care Brand of the Year’ and ‘FMCG Youth Brand of the Year’ awards to emerge as the FMCG brand that’s closest to consumers’ hearts. Unilever Sri Lanka’s flagship and one of the nation’s most iconic brands, Sunlight, was voted as the ‘Household Care Brand of the Year’.
Unilever Sri Lanka Chairperson Shazia Syed said, “As a company that places the consumer at the heart of everything we do, we’re honoured to be recognized at the SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards – awards that are based on the public’s votes. Representing the voice of the Sri Lankan consumer, these awards are a reflection of the love and trust that our brands have won over the years. Unilever’s outstanding performance at the People’s Awards comes close on the heels of the company being crowned ‘Marketer of the Year’ at the recently concluded Effie Awards.

People’s Awards is an annual, flagship event organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) in partnership with Nielsen Sri Lanka.
