Alleging that the Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils A. L. M. Athaullah had misled the Parliament by giving false assurance that the local government elections would be held before March 31, UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe said he will be held accountable by the UNP.

Addressing a rally in Nugegoda he said a false assurance was given as the government had now decided to postpone the elections for Municipal Councils. (YP)

Ranil is exposing his stupidity by the silly comments he makes. As the leader of opposition he has to be serious in what he says. What could Ranil get done by holding Athaullah accountable for what he has said, absolutely sweet nothing.

    Saradial Monday, 10 January 2011 08:24 AM

Mr Ranil there are many big issues then this. Athaullah not decision maker, decision maker is his boss.
