Another tactic to not to replace the present leadership.

no need to b hasty . take the decision prudently. bz u have enough time to recover. short cutz have more bends. another blunder, unp will have trees sprouting on its grave

Looks like another delay strategy by the leader and his cronies

Reforms or no reforms Ranil is the leader. This is the UNP
way if anyone not happy pl quit.

I strongly feel that',in case RW is not continuing as leader, some fresh blood has to replace him. Some unp members like Sajith think they can be the next leaders. However,in case if one of them comes as leader, it is 100% sure the UNP will break into many parts. Like, the non politician MR Putin became the leader of Russia and established the country, a new leader not a senior man from present unp should come as the new leader. I think some one like Mr. WIJEDASA RAJAPAKSA must try for that post.

should have election for deputy leaders and chief organiser as well.

Ok, you guys meet until the next election. Don't do anything else for the betterment of the party or its beloved voters during this period. At least do not motivate them to go for the polling stations at the next election. Then start blaming again Ranil for the next defeat. You may continue it for about 30 more years... What is more practical at the moment is to work collectively for the victory of the democracy in this country, rather than trying to change the UNP leadership. Also there is no qualified replacement for Ranil within the present UNP.

Is this the party gave all assurances to the mass before elections, when even unable to take a collective decision!
Monday, 31 May 2010 05:26 AM
Don’t worry you have enough time to reform the party. (Another 6 more years)
Monday, 31 May 2010 06:44 AM
This guy, Ranil should be ashamed of himself. He may be the ONLY UNPer who thinks he is a good leader.
Monday, 31 May 2010 06:45 AM
Ranil is a democratic leader, he will prove it again by allowing some one to replace him. he likes Young people to come forwerd and get the leadership.
Monday, 31 May 2010 07:47 AM
If Ranil is out of UNP its the end of UNP that we know of. Only the name 'UNP' will remain. (they might change that too).

High time to get it done away with. It is going around the mulberry bush.
