The Colombo High Court today fixed for trial on August 30 the hearing into the Hicorp dealings involving former army commander General Sarath Fonseka. The charge sheet and indictment sheet into the case was filed in the High Court for the first time today.

The state counsel requested the High Court to proceed with the case despite the absence of General Fonseka’s son-in-law Dhanuna Tillakaratna who is also a suspect in the case. General Fonseka appeared in Court today during the hearing. (LS)
