Three killed, 8 injured in A'pura

Three people were killed and at least 8 others sustained injuries after a canter truck collided with a packed three wheeler in Anuradhapura early this morning. According to the police there were 10 passengers in the three wheeler at the time of the accident.

Among those killed was a 10 month old child as well as the parents of the child who were traveling in the three wheeler. They were returning home after watching Vesak pandols in the area when the accident took place. (Daily Mirror online)

OMG, this is a real tragedy. Feel sorry for the family. Both Heavy vehicle drivers (Bus, Lorries, Trucks, Etc.,) and Three-wheeler drivers have become a real threat for road safety.

Sorry to hear that news.
10 pasengers in 3-wheeler. I saw lots of school children travel like this. This is very risky. Police should act accordingly.

Wonder how a three wheel can carry ten passengers? Could be that the three wheel driver could not control the overloaded vehicle.
