What happened to the coastguard service that was started last year? It should be supplied with state of the art craft and equipment and get the personnel trained in life saving drills. These lives are too precious to their families.

What is the relevance of mentioning the religion of the fishermen? Do you say Christian fishermen from Negombo? Buddhist fishermen from Kalutara? Hindu fishermen from Mannar?
