Yes I agree...At this moment we don't have a hitter who can jump forward & hit a six !. Every body is trying to collect runs slowly & survive in the team !.
Nicky Karunarathna Saturday, 19 March 2011 03:36 AM
What's that Samaraweera and Silva doing in that terrific team? Is there anyone listening? If we really serious about winning the cup for second time, bring some accountable players please. Don't these selectors understand England team best batsman - Alistair Cook doesn't play one day cricket? Bring horses for courses, where good hitters are available in SL cricket domain.
Ishak Saturday, 19 March 2011 03:31 AM
No men. ur just telling that. Sri Lanka was gonna lose. Thank God it rained atleast to get one point!!!
Wimal_Modawansa Saturday, 19 March 2011 03:55 AM
This would have not been possible without the leadership of the president under the "Mahinda Chinthana."

Congratulations to Sanga & the team. Keep the good work going, bring back the Cricket world cup to pearl of the indian ocean. It is a big question of the roles played by Chamara Silva & Tilan Samaraweera, true that it's no point arguing about their selection to the team at this point. However, our selectors at least by now should realized their mistakes and make immediate changes to draft in young talent available to the Sri lankan one day sqaud and test squad soon after the world cup is over. The likes of Dinesh Chandimal, Lahiru Tirimanne should be given chance to make their way into the international arena. Also we should find few quality fast bowlers to beef up our bowling department.

Sanga , we are thoroughly impressed with your professional performances , you are a born leader . Dilshan should act as a person with a brain , Mahela should play with more purpose , occupying the wicket for a long period is good , but at the same time , should not get out when trying to accelerate . Hats off to Murali and Matthews . Thilan and Chamara cannot be blamed as the situation demanded big shots , but again should bat with more care . We are truly on our path for the second world cup with in fifteen yrs . Go Lanka go!

Oz are scared of us. Besides its not a formidable team anymore. I am sure we will win the WC. Only problem is that our middle order. We dont have a solid batter to support Mathews.
sam Saturday, 19 March 2011 06:33 AM
Hat off Hussein for your comments that's the way we should motivate our team.
Guru Saturday, 19 March 2011 03:27 AM
Yes, SL can win like Mahela cheating on the catch. He was clean out.
Louisa Saturday, 19 March 2011 07:09 AM
Why Australia - perhaps you are a crawler on Christmas Island? Winning against Australia is just as important as winning against all the other teams in the group. Nothing special just about them only. Dont show your stupidity mohan.

Great job by Sanga & Mahela. The openers must be more careful in the upcoming crucial games.
Premasiri Saturday, 19 March 2011 03:05 AM
S’kara & M’ela are being in their mid-30s it is quite natural, their reflexes and foot-movement to become very slow with age. As a result they waste lots of scoring opportunities. These 2 vital places are meant for stroke-filled young batsmen of solid technique & lightning foot-work who’ve maintained consistency from their young sch’days. Foreigners may make various good remarks about these two veterans but that won't make any good for the future of Cricket in the Country.B’desh uses foreigners to unearth the best young talent. Whereas our s’tors are somewhat vary of introducing even players of extreme talent. A young promising player should be introduced to the Side at the time that player’s confidence at its peak but definitely not at the time, the selectors want. The selectors of last 15 y’s ‘ve always waited till the established players to die to introduce a prospective future player. Sometimes they have brought very ordinary (young) players of limited skills for unknown reasons.
Guru Saturday, 19 March 2011 03:24 AM
SL will never win the world cup.
