A full scale investigation is underway over the murder of a school boy in Chavakachcheri, Jaffna who was earlier abducted for ransom allegedly by three of his class mates who are now in police custody.
The body of the 16 year old youth was found buried in the garden of one of the young suspects and police are now investigating the actual motive for the abduction and subsequent murder and if the suspects had any assistance to carry out the crime, the police told Daily Mirror online.
A student of Chavakacheri Hindu College, the victim was abducted on March 14 from his house for a Rs. 30 million ransom and following investigations led to the arrest of three of his classmates over the crime.
One suspect later led the police to the location of the body of the victim late last evening. (Daily Mirror online)

This could be a result of the gun/gang culture left behind by the LTTE. Spiritual, cultural & human values will have to brought back & propagated in a big way.

As a precautionary measure, these three person should be given death punishment and be jailed forever and will be a lesson for others. Will the judge do that? sometime he may be afraid of his abduction?
