What are the demands? Who is going to pay? The Hon. Minister?
enginneersam Tuesday, 11 January 2011 03:24 PM
looks like some negative people would have enjoyed if the strike actually took place.
nihal Tuesday, 11 January 2011 10:53 AM
Shame that they did not strike!! If they did they would have done us a HUGE favour and we would have had the improved SLTB again!!

Finally who became fool...as usual the 'Public'. These are like mega tele dramas. If we want to build up our country, there should be some strong national policies for every aspect, not only for transportation.
S.H. Athula Kumara Tuesday, 11 January 2011 08:16 AM
Why Senior Minister discuss with them. What happened to the Minister of Transport. These are jokes.
shanthapriya Tuesday, 11 January 2011 07:45 AM
today the bank interest rate for fixed deposits is 8% per annum.
but almost whole sri lankans are travelling in buses bought by the owners on loans borrowed at 30 % interest rates.
that is why we pay such high fares for travelling in buses.
SADAAAAA Tuesday, 11 January 2011 05:59 AM
good News for peoples bus owner also have some problems but government should involve, passenger like good journey as well MP minsters
suvero Tuesday, 11 January 2011 05:33 AM
We fought old Prabha but the government is no match against the private bus union. They can bring the government to their knees over night!
So another failure by the government means harder times for the public. The wheels of the bus go round and round eh ?
adahan Tuesday, 11 January 2011 04:17 AM
Is it an assurance or a threat.
NAIDE Tuesday, 11 January 2011 04:07 AM
OBVIOUSLY, THEY WILL NOT STICK TO THEIR THREATS AS THEY CANNOT BE WITHOUT THE MONEY.
Fayad Tuesday, 11 January 2011 04:02 AM

Balanceman Tuesday, 11 January 2011 01:44 AM
End of another show. Finally poor passengers are the victim of whole episode as usual.
Cobra Tuesday, 11 January 2011 01:31 AM
I told you that their 'absurd' demands automatically become reasonable and will be granted finally, of course at the cost of the poor commuter!
Truth Exposed Tuesday, 11 January 2011 12:50 AM
Will the Senior Minister ensure that any increase in fares be \compensated with better services like no over-crowding and no waiting at bus stops for longer periods?
anemagekata Tuesday, 11 January 2011 12:34 AM
In developing countries like ours public transport should be run by the government.
Rathnaweera Monday, 10 January 2011 06:05 PM
Can't the Private Bus Operators Association CALL OFF the Private Bus Service from our motherland for ever.
People could travel on our roads by foot and vehicles in peace (&piece).
KHKaru Monday, 10 January 2011 04:42 PM
You are a wise guy, G.W. Your opponent is too tough to be tackled right now. By the way, when will your clan give us a smooth service without running 'kota kota'.
Silva Monday, 10 January 2011 04:42 PM
So the minster is going to bear the additional fare not the public. How nice of the Minister.
Hashim Monday, 10 January 2011 04:16 PM
