A UPFA Pradeshiya Sabha member and several of his supporters who threatened Senior Minister for Rural Affairs, Athauda Seneviratne at several occasions have been remanded after a police complaint was made by the Minister.

The PS member had threatened the Minister at several meetings he attended and had on one occasion visited the Minister’s office with several persons and acted violently before the police intervened, the police complaint stated.

Senior Minster Seneviratne told Daily Mirror online that the said PS member had been displeased after a different candidate had been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Mawanella Pradeshiya Sabha.
