Hello, we are talking about a country where women don't call the shots!
Monday, 14 June 2010 05:01 AM
Why can't we pass a law like this......to safe guard our humanity, which is non existing in SRI LANKA rather than passing cabinet papers for unwanted importing of luxuary cars for our Ministers?????
Monday, 14 June 2010 05:03 AM
yes, he deserved this, its a shame for sl community who are living in dubai. like a few who dont know what purpose they have come here for.
Monday, 14 June 2010 05:03 AM
Well done "Dubai" i was born in "Abu Dhabhi" and though i'm a sri lankan i still love the place of my birth and i'm proud to say that Dubai is the capital in Abu Dhabhi. i personally think this should be implemented in Sri Lanka too. Give him the best punishment you can. he has no right to interfere into a married couples life . well Done "Dubai" hope Sri Lanka gets this Law very soon.
Monday, 14 June 2010 05:05 AM
Wow, Good idea
Monday, 14 June 2010 05:09 AM
Spark,You are in a dream world.
You need to read a lot on Srilankan History and culture.
Monday, 14 June 2010 05:28 AM
Never get involved with married women unless you are prepared to take her as your wedded wife after her divorce.
Monday, 14 June 2010 05:38 AM
Being on this website, I guess you are a Sri Lankan as well, and which according to you, you too have had a history of a violent past. Not all Sri Lankans (just like other nationals in other countries where you get the good with the bad) have had a violent past. You blame Sri Lankans for everything not realizing that your roots are in Sri Lanka.
Monday, 14 June 2010 05:46 AM
Also, we are already down the precipice! No hope, just pray.
Monday, 14 June 2010 04:51 AM
this is a lesson for women....after marriage never think about another guy...if you do u will make a big disaster.!!!
Monday, 14 June 2010 06:15 AM
spark, do you think the rest of the world had a very peaceful past? You truly are ignorant. The history of humanity is marred by violence. Not SL alone. Sri Lanka stands with a less violent past than other countries. Please educate yourself.
Monday, 14 June 2010 06:17 AM
A very good example of punishment to wrong doers, hope the same can be implemented in Sri lanka to curb the increase in crime rate.
Monday, 14 June 2010 06:19 AM
This is what a typical Sri Lankan humbug would understand and write. If you were in the same perspective as this man, it would have been worse. Situations in love, greed, jealousy, craving and hunger can create a human mind to behave in abnormal ways. It is the control of our mind that liberates us from these perspectives. This is clear in the teachings of Lord Buddha.
Monday, 14 June 2010 06:19 AM
Well done, Dubai.
This guy should be hanged and the woman should be given life imprisonment for assisting the murder.
Monday, 14 June 2010 06:52 AM
@Shivanka - The Capital is Abu Dhabi not Dubai.
Monday, 14 June 2010 06:58 AM
yes sri lanka has a less violent history than some countries but we have a violent present and future. we celebrate death of so many people and call it v day.. please educate yourself too sangadasa..
Monday, 14 June 2010 07:02 AM
We should not target only Sri Lankans. Any country and any culture there are violent people. Should not blame the history or the religion of that country.
Monday, 14 June 2010 11:37 PM
Yes, severe punishment is what is needed.
Monday, 14 June 2010 04:18 AM
Spark, you are sadly mistaken.
Monday, 14 June 2010 02:27 AM
If it is not happening in Sri Lanka , it should happen somewhere else.
Monday, 14 June 2010 02:32 AM
Good Job Dubai
Monday, 14 June 2010 02:59 AM
We Sri Lankans have a history of violence. All our past kings have been invaders on the basis of race and religeon. We are the prodcuts of this culture, sad to say. We do not have Taj Mahals, Pyramids, disney lands as past histories, but have Dutugemunus, Kashyapas and Sri Wickremarajasinghe's to emulate our culture.
Monday, 14 June 2010 03:09 AM
The guy deserves what he got. Now lets see what the woman gets.
Monday, 14 June 2010 03:18 AM
Bring this law to Sri Lanka and see the drastic drop in crime, or else we are going down the precipice
Monday, 14 June 2010 03:21 AM
Justice served....
Monday, 14 June 2010 03:36 AM
Women, Women, Women, so tempting yet so hard to understand. Why didn't this stupid woman get a divorce from her husband to live with the lover, she could have saved two lives if she did.
Monday, 14 June 2010 03:59 AM
We need this law in Sri Lanka too.
Monday, 14 June 2010 02:26 AM
Hope the Employment Bureau will take note of this and add it to their list of 'don'ts' even at this late stage. This is also a good lesson to those workers who forget the purpose of going for foreign jobs in the first place.Human weaknesses true, but they should know their limitations.
Monday, 14 June 2010 04:19 AM
hmmm food for thought.
Monday, 14 June 2010 04:21 AM
Good lesson for idiot to kill this fellow. Bring this law to this country. Anyone who takes others life should be meeted out the same punishment. No forgivence. Period.
Monday, 14 June 2010 04:25 AM
Taking a life is nothing for some Sri Lankans due mainly to the violent period we had witnessed in SL for many years thanks to Tiger terrorists of the past and GOSL's attempts at curbing it. Theses are by products of violence among society. Dubai had been fast with the verdict but lets hope this man had a fair hearing!
Monday, 14 June 2010 04:35 AM
Very good
Monday, 14 June 2010 04:39 AM
if you bring this law to sri lanka, the parliament will have empty seats....
Monday, 14 June 2010 04:43 AM
You are right bro
Monday, 14 June 2010 04:45 AM
We need this law applied to Sri Lanka - especially the police - who have taken so many lives while in custody. This police mauling is since of late - and is escalating as no one takes action against the wrongdoers.
