The Tamil heritage ciities in the NE are bombed out and money is pouring in for Kandy and other cities in the South. Is the money better spent rebuilding the NE so the whole country can economically prosper.?

Kandy becomes the Holiday destination for our politicians and they try to make it for their convenient place in and around the city. People of Kandy suffering with the day to day traffic congestion with various road blocks including the road leads to Kundasale. Kandy became the first, most polluted place in Sri Lanka due to the traffic menace made by current politicians in the area to full fill the desires of head of the government. Please leave Kandy alone as it was before 1990s, and help to make it people friendly place again (Not a politicians Holiday destination).

Oh.. such a relief. Interesting MR got to know that there is another city in the map of Sri Lanka called Kandy, apart from Hambantota. But 500 Million is peanut. More importantly the government must intervene in widening the roads and giving a solution for unorganized transportation under heavy traffic in the city. Also the city is filled with wastes everywhere. None can breathe near the market (also near the Bogambara prison). Perhaps one of the dirtiest places in Sri Lanka.

why don't you stick to the South ? Don't come to Kandy you will never be accepted for your behavior or your morals !
Buying over imitation Kandyans like Kehelmal is not the answer.

Kandy can not be expanded, but it can be planned, if they wish to listen to ordinary people, we can give them some ideas to do so....

it may be peanuts, but it's a start.. let's see what happens. we shouldn't be eternally pessimistic. but we shouldn't hold our breath either!

It's a good move. Well done Presedent BUT proper plan and implementation is the biggest challenge. If not all will fail.
