There is no change in the venue of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, which will be held in Colombo June 3-5, the organisers said Saturday, refuting reports of pressure from the Tamil film lobby to shift the event out of the Sri Lankan capital.

"We are not under any pressure. There is no change in the venue and we are going ahead with the schedule," Sabas Joseph, one of the directors of Wizcraft that organises the gala, told IANS.

It is so clear that the fact is Tamil diaspora still haunting around the country..

No Tamil star will particiate in this festival. This festival in Colombo will show the international community that SL has a long way to go to get the heart of Tamils back.

We should boycot all Tamil films from Tamil Nadu. There are jokers in that industry.

Well Said Joseph, Do not listen & dance to Pro-LTTE music.

    Up yours Tamil film lobby!!

    Sunday, 30 May 2010 04:51 AM

Who cares about this tamil film lobby! These are all crocodile tears.

    Sunday, 30 May 2010 05:25 AM

Tamil film Industry will oppose IIFA because of LTTE. There is absolutely no reason to mix things up. Who cares!!!

On the other hand, what the cost for this event? Who bear the cost? Is this a wise idea to have IIFA in SL at present? Govt's main focus should be on 'Nation Building' and 'Cost Cutting' if they are serious as they talk.

    Sunday, 30 May 2010 06:40 AM

Tamils in India and Canada, Toronto have demonstrated and did their best to stop this event in Sri Lanka but as usual these Tamil Tiger supporters are a bunch of loosers who have hatred against SL. 'The will continue to hate us and suffer but we will move forward as a country and as a nation. Long live Sri Lanka.

    Sunday, 30 May 2010 11:52 AM

IIFA should be help w/o any incident, hence tight security measures are needed. Authorities should keep no loop holes for pro-ltte to sabotage this event.

I don't know why this so much fuss by Tamil Artistes. In fact they run their movies and make a lot of money, but they continue to say ignore Sri Lanka. I think after IIFA is over, Sri Lanka should ban tamil movies here and only screen Hindi to teach a lesson for their antics
