Even better than hot air balloons is the Zeppelin. The Hindenburg disaster ended an era of absolute luxury, seamless, quite and quick travel including a white table cloth restaurant were some of the Hindenburg's features. Its Achilles heel was the use of Hydrogen gas instead of the inert Helium gas. The Zeppelin with modern technology is an inexpensive silent, comfortable mode of transportation. It could complement Sri Lanka's air travel using much less gasoline to do the same job of an air line. If implemented, Sri Lanka would become the first nation in the world to reintroduce the Zeppelin. Remember back then light metals were not invented neither was plastic. This alone with new light weight engines would make the 21st century Zeppelin an answer to the chronic cost of fuel and comfort.

I thought we were already well accomplished in this - seeing the way several of our parliamentarians blow hot air.
