A security officer of a Deputy Minister and another man were assaulted by villagers in Badureliya after the security officer had bitten-off the ear of a store owner in the area.

The Chief Security Officer of the powerful Deputy Minister had come allegedly drunk to Baduraliya town and created problems to the people.

This security officer had come with another security officer and had attempted to urinate in front of a store and there had been an altercation with the shop owner.

When the owner warned him not to use the front of his shop for his need the security officer had lost his temper and bitten off his ear and later assaulted him.

Seeing the incident the townsfolk had come and assaulted the security officer and handed him over to the police.

The injured businessman and security officer are undergoing treatment at the Kalutara-Nagoda hospital. (Daily Mirror online)
