DM web targeted

An attempt has been made to block the Daily Mirror website from being viewed overseas by a foreign element according to senior officials at Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT).

According to SLT officials, the element is attempting to prevent oversees readers from accessing the website and have succeeded to some extent in their attempt.


SLT officials who met the management of Daily Mirror today revealed this information and stated that the issue is being addressed..

    Yes, the Daily Mirror cannot be accessed through the Infolanka News site, as I have been doing for many years now. It has been blocked for three days now. But, I can go through Google and access the site.

    For 2 days I couldn't open the DM website from San Francisco, California, USA. Even now, I had to type dailymirror.lk twice and hit enter to connect to the site. There is something going on to block the site ... I wonder why? Is this the Death of Sri Lanka's Democracy?
