Court reprimands police

The Colombo Fort magistrate today severely reprimanded the police for granting police bail on 16 suspects connected with the MTV attack without giving a date to appear in court. The Magistrate also issued notice on the suspects to appear in court on 10th May. (LS)

    The learned Magistrate should have ordered the Police to arrest these 16 and remand them atleast until the elections are over because they are a threat to the smooth conduct of the elections.
