Wont be surprised if the fuel price get increased since there will be more demand for it due to more vehicles after the reduction of care prices. Then people wont be able to drive or take the public transportation.

Bus fairs to go up and the Car import tax to go down...real joke! Good treat for the poor voters as well. So the government technically expects all poor citizens in the villages who struggle for a days living to buy a car. This is called.. Rich become more richer and poor become more poorer. Why people in Sri Lanka dont understand this?

where was this guy, fuel price hike recently???
gamunu first teach your drivers and conductors to behave and respect the passengers for they are not cattle.
i suggest there should be no increase of fairs until proper standards are set in public transportation. there should be a code of conduct for drivers and conductors (maybe an compulsory training program on their responsibilities)and the condition of the facility (seats, windows, bus itself, etc)
it should be the passenger first, not the bus owners!!!

    Wednesday, 02 June 2010 09:06 AM

PBOA decide the bus fair? I thought its the Ministry of Transport which decides. Total anachy here.
