The driver of former Deputy Minister K.A. Baiz has been arrested in Anamaduwa for illegally possessing a weapon and ammunition. He was arrested together with another man while they were traveling in a vehicle towards Kurunegala via Anamaduwa.
Traffic police, who had stopped the vehicle, had checked it on suspicion and recovered an M-16 gun used by the Special Task Force (STF), 2 magazines and 30 bullets. Anamaduwa police are investigating. (Daily Mirror online)

It ia a long over due since this political thug from Puttalam had been terrorising the people with his goons and do we need more proof. After all an accused who assulted a lady officer from the Auditor Generals office and caused miscarrige to her is this politicians private secretary.
