The term 'rebels' is misleading... looking at the pics it seems like these were Prabhakaran's guinea pigs in his 30 years of deadly experiments...

    Rajitha Saturday, 15 January 2011 11:44 AM

    agreed

Prabhakaran and his elite click of supporters (both local and overseas) should rot in hell for ruining the lives of innocent tamils and sinhalese alike

Prabhath Patabendi Saturday, 15 January 2011 11:55 AM

Well done ! After all they are all Sri Lankans

The Judge Saturday, 15 January 2011 12:36 PM

Happy they are released back into the society, but GOSL has not found a solution yet for the so called CAUSE they were fighting for. Where are the promised packages for the Tamils????????????? which are yet to come

    Samantha Saturday, 15 January 2011 01:06 PM

What about our tamil political prisoners who have been kept in the jail for more than 18 years withouot filing a case.Pls.give life for them also.

    Ezhilini Saturday, 15 January 2011 02:36 PM

Well, It is your view. A Victim's view is " It was not a humanitarian operation, It s a genocide".

    Rajitha Saturday, 15 January 2011 03:48 PM

the cause - blood thirsty maniac's greed to dictate over an entire population was taken care of at Nandikadaal lagoon.

    natha Saturday, 15 January 2011 05:36 PM

good job ...................... but there is bad things............. if there is no solution of tamils' problem what will happen in future...........

    Royalist Saturday, 15 January 2011 07:23 PM

    Dear Ms. Ezhilini:

We are not talking here about anything but the apparent innocence that we see on those faces... If you were a victim of whatever, you have recourse to state your case as a victim at a properly constituted tribunal. This forum is not the place to vent your hatred and revenge upon those who have started living again...

    Ideananda Saturday, 15 January 2011 09:31 PM

How about the genocide carried out by Prabhakaran and his diaspora supporters?

    Lucky Saturday, 15 January 2011 09:57 PM

Look at the dictonary to se what genocide means. You are misleading people in Sri Lanka and around the world. Typical of Tamil Diaspora living abroad.

    MagodisThuma Sunday, 16 January 2011 04:17 AM

Yes Killing innocent people with "Bus Bombs" is called Genocide !.

    MagodisThuma Sunday, 16 January 2011 04:21 AM

Now they must have understood Prabakaran took them to the Stone Age !.

    hb Sunday, 16 January 2011 04:28 AM

From the comments its obvious that the Sri Lankans are happy that these people are reintegrated back to society to lead a normal life, but the eelamists are quite dissapointed about it.

    Ananda Sunday, 16 January 2011 05:44 AM

Sr Lankan Tamils in Sri Lanka should be well taken care of since they are innocent and was just under LTTE's threat. BUT these Pro-LTTE Tamils in the diaspora, should be condemned, cornered and should not have any visiting right to Sri Lanka. These Tamil tigers are a shame!

    citizen1 Monday, 17 January 2011 05:32 AM

Can we stop making a mountain out of a mole hill that is no more? We all have problems no matter our race these days. So why not learn to love oneanother and stop living in the past?
