The railway strike, which was launched seven-days ago, was called off by the railway employees today following a meeting held with the four-member ministerial committee.

The strike was launched by the trade unions of railway guards, station masters and engine drivers last Thursday over a number of issues including the alleged irregularities in the recruitment process of employees. (Chaturanga Pradeep)

So was the govt wrong (because the union did not give in) and who was responsible for that wrongdoing and issue of unacceptable circulars. We cannot carry on like this with no one accountable for ANY wrong actions.

Unfortunately the government finally gives in, resulting in encouraging more strikes. Government seems to have no proper contingency plan or never seems to plan on that.Pusillanimity at its best. God help the poor commuters. Long live the good governance. .

Recruit the strikers as new entrants. All past services should not to be considered when recruiting. Teach the strikers a lesson.
