Exactly Education is a right! isn't it a right that should be shared by everyone in Sri lanka equally, what's wrong with paying for our education and choosing to do what whoever like, it's time to get over this mentality and go back to your educational institution and do your best without being such babies about it!

We dont have much graduates form Sri LankaPls allow privatization to increase more graduates into SL.Students who did't get Highest marks also can achieve success if he/she given a chance. Government pls ignore this minority.

If you show banners "Education is a Right" its applicable for children who could not enter to government uni due to the limited quota and just missing their chances. You all are lucky to receive the privilege of free education . Go into their shoes and see the pain. As parents we also dream to see our children be successful. Its sad to see Buddhist Monks also among them.

Dear students you are also paid by us (TAX MONEY). Anyway we don't have free education in Sri Lanka. Don't disturb the others rights.

Father, forgive them that protest for they know not that, in later life they become politicians or state officials and take decision to have private unis.

What if free educarion is kept but open the education for fee as well? If students ask free education for all who are legally qualified to enter Unis and government doesnt have funds to accommodate all, what should be their option if the education is a right.

This is a great initiative by the previous government completed by the present goverment... Thanks to all we now have a world class University for 30,000 more students.... Moon want come down though the dogs bark...

I am empathetic with those who have commented here. But I can't understand why don't they demand the Government to proved more opportunities in free education instead of selling degrees. once the degree becomes a commodity it can be only afforded by the rich people. it is not the same idea of 'education is a right!'
