The United National Party (UNP) today said it would show their majority yet again in Parliament tomorrow.
The UNP said this after the All Party Meeting which was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena this evening.
“We are disappointed that the meeting with the President was inconclusive. We offered to present our majority once again in Parliament,” it said.
Meanwhile, UNP MP Dr. Harsha De Silva said there was no breakthrough at the ‘so called’ all party meeting.
“They want to drag the impasse along giving lame excuses of procedure as the fake Prime Minister doesn’t have the majority in the House. What a shame! They are taking Sri Lanka down for their political survival. Mahinda Rajapaksa should go,” he said.

If the President reject the majority tomorrow, all democratic loving people should surround the Presidents house.

MS only giving the run around to hapless UNP. When has he been acting strictly according to procedure?

UNP don’t have any majority as they had 0nly 33% votes during last election. Though you show majority among 225 MPs people of the county will not accept UNP government. UNP can’t talk about 62% majority any more. One reason is last pradeshiya Saba election. 2nd is SLFP is no more in the govenment. Third is 62% was taken by president and president is not with UNP anymore. In any case UNP has no right to be in power. They should go home!

Cannot held religious praying ceremony at parliament chambers at 2pm by chief REV. of each main 4 religions (Most Rev . Malwathu and Asgiriya,....), 5 minutes religious lesson to them. According to constitution Buddhism has the main role to solve this type of problem since President is bias to Mahinda Rajapakse.
