According to Navy media, Sri Lanka Navy had accorded a traditional welcome to the visiting ships upon their arrival at the Colombo Port.
During their stay in the island, the crew of the visiting ships is expected to take part in a number of programmes including cultural and sports activities organized by their local counterparts. The ships are scheduled to leave on Monday.

Sri Lanka is the only major Asian country that reports of naval visits by other countries as a major news. Those countries send their war ships as part of their power projection and it has nothing to do with “goodwill”. If it is for goodwill then they would be sending not military but cultural or scientific representations.

Lmao, frigates as a show of power? Okay. It's more like Iran doesn't have friends lol.

Even if it means couple of frigates still sailing them thousands of miles away into someone’s waters is power projection.
