Tense situ at Hambantota port

Tense situation prevailed at Hambantota port this morning when the navy tried to free the two ships seized by workers who were staging a protest at the port.

Workers of the Hambantota port launched a protest a few days ago and seized control of two ships docked at the port demanding that all 483 workers be recruited by the Ports Authority. (Sanath Gamage)
