Sri Lankan - Thamizh Thursday, 15 November 2018 03:56 PM
People like you are the fundamental reason for the separation among the peaceful society of Sri Lankans. We recognize ourselves as Sri Lankan first and call us Sinhalese or Tamil, just to identify the language that we understand. If you cannot be a fellow Sri Lankan, please get out of the country and don't comment on our country issues!
Krishnaswamy. Thursday, 15 November 2018 05:53 PM
Tamil Lawyer! Tongue can create a firestorm without fuel and an igniting source. Guard your tongue .

Unchikun Thursday, 15 November 2018 11:51 AM
The UNP, more specifically Ranil has to take the blame for this disgraceful event in Sri Lanka history. We had to vote for this president as the UNP leader was not confident of winning any election. It is time he quit politics and bring sanity to the nation.
Siripala Thursday, 15 November 2018 12:29 PM
Just arrived from outer space with wisdom
Shan Thursday, 15 November 2018 11:51 AM
Sirisena is responsible for this anarchic situation.
Rafiq Thursday, 15 November 2018 01:03 PM
Why leave out medamulana thug. Remember they both planned this.
Marikkar Thursday, 15 November 2018 12:22 PM
Sirisena proved that he is most suited to serve as a Grama Sevaka Niladaari... Mahinda proved that he is the mightiest stupid in terms of power hunger... Ranil proved that he is the best cunning fox, waiting for his portion to be freely served ..
Zub Thursday, 15 November 2018 12:23 PM
What has happened to democracy which MS promised? He's trying to be a Hitler of Polonnaruwa
smartgent2001 Thursday, 15 November 2018 12:34 PM
MS should take the blamed for the chaos in the parliament. This is what happens when a person with farmers' background is elected as the president. He doesn't know the laws of the country and the constitution which made him to create a havoc in the country. People are lost as to what is happening in the parliament and who is to lead the country. We are a mockery in the eyes of the world, and MS should tender his resignation immediately and go home and the parliament should elect an individual by vote as a caretaker President and immediately call for a Presidential election.
nal Thursday, 15 November 2018 01:17 PM
disagree with the wording of "farmers back ground" i think any person can became a president if they have qualification first paper plus experience. in this case MS have only experience i guess, this is why all these probs
Kugan Thursday, 15 November 2018 01:40 PM

Hey Pals, just be cool. No point in losing our temper. Let's watch this as a drama. Hopes for our country have been lost since 1948.
Paul Thursday, 15 November 2018 01:16 PM
I feel that in future speaker in Parliament should have sit in a cubical room made with iron rods so that he could do his job properly without any interruptions from unruly parliamentarians unlike today. I wish to ask from the government parliamentarians why they fear to go voice recording vote. Vote is a vote they be held in the parliament or out side because they like only vote in the general election. It is very unfair.
ravi Thursday, 15 November 2018 01:51 PM
Speaker was bias. This is the whole story.
Ramu Thursday, 15 November 2018 01:53 PM

The Tamils accounting to the constitution of Sri Lanka, have never received at positive movements by any of these gouvernments, be in UNP, SLFP or any other parties. Tamils were used as voting machines by all parties. Today they are fighting among them and these has nothing to do for Tamils. When Tamils are recognised as a Nation on thier historical backgrounds as also the sinhalese people. Then we can think on a true democratical process. The Tamil politicians be it TNA or all other Tamil parties like Thandaman and Mano Ganesan.so let the sinhala people what they want, it is not rascism.
Rasheed Thursday, 15 November 2018 04:21 PM
These unruly MPs should be suspended from attending the Parliament.
