Serendib Flour Mills produces two sales champions at the 2018 SLIM NASCO awards

Serendib Flour Mills emerged triumphant at the recently-concluded National Sales Congress (NASCO) 2018, organized by The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), walking away with two eminent awards for its sales personnel. This was the first time that the company participated in the SLIM NASCO awards at which 2 of its employees were awarded in the Corporate Sales Category. Kanchana Dassanayake (Regional Sales Manager) and Asela Pushpakumara (Area Sales Executive), nominated by the company in the Corporate Sales Category, received Bronze Awards in the Territory Manager & Sales Executive segments respectively. The 2 winners has been selected as the 7 Star Sales Executive & 7 Star Regional Manager of the Year at the 2017 Serendib Annual Sales Conference. The company’s annual Sales Conference has created a vibrant sales culture and equipped the sales team with strong capabilities in the sales function.

SLIM’s 2018 edition of NASCO recorded the highest-ever participation - with as many as 700 entries from 22 industries. In terms of categories, 250 frontliners, 200 supervisor executives, 150 territory managers, 50 regional sales managers, 25 national sales managers and 25 coordinators had applied. Over the last 17 years, SLIM NASCO has risen to become the pre-eminent award ceremony, which recognizes and rewards the sales forces of companies and industries across Sri Lanka. As a national level event, SLIM NASCO is unique amongst other industry awards in the country as it creates motivation, training and learning opportunities for self-development amongst sales personnel as a core element of its awards.
