Moragalla along the Aluthgama coastal belt is a famous tourist destination. The beach which extends to about two kilometres is frequently visited by a large number of foreigners. However, due to sea erosion, about 100 metres of the beach has been lost causing much inconvenience to the tourists visiting the beach.
