The Special Task Force (STF) has been deployed to areas of Batticaloa to maintain law and order in the areas following a clash between two parties yesterday, Batticaloa Police said.
Police said the clash had triggered following a heated argument among the two parties.
It also said the situation had been brought back to normal.
