Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said it will extend its fullest cooperation to the International Cricket Council to investigate the latest allegations levelled via media reports, over ‘’match fixing’’.

CEO of the SLC Ashley De Silva, is in contact with the CEO of the International Cricket Council, David Richardson and the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit on the matter.

“Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to state that it has zero tolerance towards corruption and will take immediate action against any person involved in the alleged incident, if found guilty,” the SLC said.

In the meantime, SLC is constantly engaged with the ICC and is following its guidelines on how to handle anti-corruption operations for the forthcoming tours in Sri Lanka, according to the SLC.

A documentary by news organisation Al Jazeera has allegedly uncovered a match-fixing scandal involving the curator of the Galle International Stadium in Sri Lanka, where Australia were thrashed inside three days in 2016

The white flag? Sri Lanka is a country where the former minister of sport admits taking a bribe in parliament. What more can we expect from the rest in sports? This may be an open and shut case. Sadly for Sri Lanka this is an international affair and may be judges too.

How can pitch fixing considered as a corruption? All countries are making pitches suitable to their own teams. Don't the both teams play on the same pitch?

I am not a test cricketer. Played cricket in the backyard in high school. Even that, if one makes scratchers near the batting crease, the slow bowlers had a field day.

Making the pitch to suit the home team is very common. The issue is to make it to suit the bookies. Examples , Though Galle is a spinner friendly pitch, it was made a batting wicket for the test against India where they made 600 runs batting first. Imagine the money the bookies would have made. It was similar for the match against Auspices where the match ended within 3 days.

Ha Ha. "Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to state that it has zero tolerance towards corruption." What a spiced statement. The hotbed of corruption is SLC itself.

May be SLC is co-operating because they lost the opportunity to be corrupt this case and time, as they need to be investigated first.

Nothing to see here. From top to bottom it is all corruption and back door deals in sri lanaka society. Sadly poor blue collar worksers carry the country. Also they are the ones who died in protecting the country from terrorrism. What terrorist could not get by war the sorruption is handing it to them through corruption

People who own Bookies should not be in SLC.

The pitches are taken over by the match officials appointed by the ICC, before any match. Why didn't they notice any notable difference of the pitches in question? Weren't they responsible to highlight those facts, if any and to report to the ICC?
