Sri Lanka Cricket Manager Charith Senanayake in a Facebook post admired visiting English players for their off-field conduct and described them as perfect ambassadors for England.
He said English boys look good with their performances on field and that their off-field conduct was even better.
“Absolutely amazing to see them big lads.....calling even the most junior hotel staff member Sir.....,” he said and added that “Good on them being perfect ambassadors for England......Respect”

That is nice remark where the English lads "Sir"i even the most junior staff at the hotel. When I grew up (in the 60s) this was normal. I had my in plant training at the Ceylon Electricity Board and I used to "Sir" the foreman. It was normal. My father always told me one never looses by address someone as "Sir". Well the world has changed today and call the waiters at the restaurant I visit by first name. That is also nice.

Hey Charith, do you know what happened on September 24, 2017 after the West Indies ODI game in Bristol, yeah English players were celebrating the win and after late hours binge drinking by Ben Stokes and Alex Hale was involed in a Brawl outside the Mbargo nightclub in Bristol!!! And Ben Stokes was arrested early hours of September 25th!! Incidentally both players are touring in SL with the English team!! May be they've turned to Saints now!??

Hey Jude Jude Jude... Ben Stokes' incident was just an isolated one and was cleared by court if you are aware. That incident does not relate to the whole English team. Then how about some of our cricketers doing disgraceful things? Does it represent the whole SL team ?? C'mon dude...think before you write something. If you see any good then do not fear to comment on it. Hats off to Charith !!!

Can some knowledgable gentleman tell us whether the following fact is correct? In UK addressing a woman as Madamme is an indult to her.Only a Royal family member is addressed as Madame.

Hey Charith Senanayake you slow learners, people call you Sir , only when they don’t know your name ,unlike Sri Lankan’s They address politicians also as Sir.

Nothing surprising. We Sri Lankans have a long way to go to reach the 'civilised' status.Example: Our roads, Ministers, even the Doctors, you name it...

England is not a multi ethnic country like ours, We have yet to see in the present context - our players being multi ethnic. It is now a far cry.

On an entirely different matter, Sri Lanka team should stop calling Aiya/ Malli at each other. Haven't seen this timid culture and can you imagine how a Malli will contribute in a team meeting. He must be shit scared to open his mouth. Not good - apparently this whole stupid thing was started by Arjuna.
