Sri Lanka Cricket today revised the six-match limited over match suspension issued on batsman Danushka Gunathilaka. It has now been reduced to three, meaning the opener will be available for the T20 leg of the current series against Pakistan.
The remaining three matches are part of a suspended sentence over a one-year period, which could come into force in the event of any further disciplinary breaches. He has also been fined 20% of his annual contract fee. The decision was made after an appeal on behalf of the player by the Sinhalese Sports Club.
“Gunathilaka was served a 6 International match suspension and imposed a fine of 20% of his Annual
Contract fee having been found in breach of Section 30 of the SLC Constitution and several terms of his contract.
He was suspended over misconduct and indifferent behaviour after the matter was brought to SLC's notice by Asanka Gurusinha, the cricket manager.

SLC has punished not only Dhanuska Gunatilaka but also the Srilankan cricket as a result Srilanka lost to Pakistan ODI series. SLC should be responsible for the failure of the series...

Not sure whether this is anything to do with him agreeing to tour Lahore for the last T20. This is really silly, getting no where. If you suspend a guy, be man enough to stay by it, or don't
