The Sri Lanka’s Men’s 4X400m Relay Team finished third in their heat at the 2018 Asian Games track and field events continued in Jakarta, Indonesia on Wednesday (29).
The team consisting of Aruna Dharshana, Ajith Premakumara, Pasindu Lakshan Kodikara and Kalinga Kumarage clocked a time of 3:06.66 seconds, which was the fifth best time of the eight finalists.
The quartet from Qatar ran the fastest time of 3:06.08s, with Japan clocking the second fastest time of 3:06.11s.
Meanwhile, in table tennis mixed doubles round of 32, the Sri Lankan duo of Imesh Udaya Ranasinghe and Ishara Madurangi were beaten 0-3 by Thailand’s Padasak Tanviriyavechakul and Suthasini Sawettabut.
The scores of the three rounds read 11-1, 11-2, 11-5 respectively.
