Colombo district people has punished to Bogollagama two general elections. He got less than 6000 votes in last pertinent election. It is shame president has appointed him as a governer.

take my word, the day they appear in courts...the judge will sign bail paper instantly

    BuffaloaCitizen Friday, 01 June 2018 04:24 PM

Another phenomenon is they get caught and presented to the Magistrate also on that same day morning.

    Haramanis Friday, 01 June 2018 06:49 PM

These are bailable offences. So that can't be helped. This female is tiger the world knows.

    Kunthar Friday, 01 June 2018 02:25 PM

To be arrested means won't be arrested.

Warren Raed Sunday, 03 June 2018 06:26 PM

Very true. It's three days now and they have still not been arrested. What a disgraceful legal system we have here?

    Ceylon Friday, 01 June 2018 04:39 PM

Rohitha is another failed case.able bright man but stupid for politics.

The man is not poor at all. He had filled his coffers during CBK's and MR's time. He deserves such a wife.

In recent history these people had a tendency for misusing powers. Is this a another case of misusing powers vested by authorities?

    lion Saturday, 02 June 2018 06:48 AM

Please pardon our president its we who make the mistake of appointing a man with dementia. He said on the 30 May 2018 that he didn't provide helicopters to MR to go to Thangalla and the same president in 2016 at Monaragela took credit for giving not only one, 2 helicopters to MR and ask the audience of the meeting, is there any leader in the world who provided helicopters to a defeated head of state?

    Achala Saturday, 02 June 2018 12:21 PM

How come this news item is not published in DM and it's only on the website. Who did Boggles bribe or plead with for this omission?

    CITIZEN Saturday, 02 June 2018 02:19 PM

Law should be enforced, without any hesitation. They must be arrested immediately without waiting till they appear in Court with a lawyer and then the next hearing to be postponed till any date in 2019 or later! If it happens it won't be a surprise. Former Defence Secretary's FR case has been postponed till November after umpteen postponements! We have a wonderful Justice system. A coconut thief is sentenced on the very first appearance i Court!!!

    VJ Saturday, 02 June 2018 04:11 PM

The president and Bogollagama have similarities, both travelled around the world at the expense of the taxpayers. They must be liking each other.

Warren Raed Sunday, 03 June 2018 06:22 PM

Only ordered to be arrested but still not arrested even after the order was issued 3 days ago. What a disgrace the legal system is? If it was the common man he would be in Welikada now. LoL
