President Maithripala Sirisena had ordered the Defense Ministry to inquiry into an alleged violation of the Emigration and Immigration Act by a private jet, a team of foreign investors and a provincial governor who lost his job recently, SLFP media spokesman Mahinda Samarasinghe said.
He said the former governor was alleged to have arranged a trip by a group of Singaporean and Chinese investors to Sri Lanka and they had arrived on December 3 on a private jet.
"They had visited Trincomalee the following day on a familiarization tour and left the country from the eastern capital without obtaining permission from the Sri Lanka Customs, Emigration and Immigration authorities," Mr. Samarasinghe said and added that the President would take action when he gets the report on the incident. Its free for all, no law no regulations or accountability. This is what we get when weak leaders are elected.

There were no rulers other than Sirisena on 3 December. So Sirisena can question himself and punish himself.
