Nalaka De Silva re-remanded

Former DIG of the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) Nalaka de Silva was further remanded till December 11 by the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today.

He was arrested over the alleged assassination plot on several VIPs. (Yoshitha Perera)

    What is the Legal action that can be taken for concocting or cooking up false allegations? Of course, the severity of punishment should be meted out in keeping with the position of the liar - the higher up, the more severe the punishment. In the next few days we live in hope that the Judiciary will maintain their independence and integrity, so that all Sri Lankans will have a future to look forward to.
