Malinga was one of most fittest players during the recent test done by SLC. So they had to give a token punishment and have him playing against Zimbabwe. Then again what happens to the Politicians who threaten journalists talk rubbish and make personal remarks. They haven't breached any codes? My foot!

Sports body need of lot of regulation changes. Through voting never ever professional man come to seat.

    yahiya Wednesday, 28 June 2017 08:46 AM

    Player need discipline.

    Ajja Wednesday, 28 June 2017 08:23 AM

Amir is 100% correct...We have nothing to lose in Cricket. We got choked 4 times at Cricket WC finals and Malinga was there in most of those matches.Still we lost.See Pakistan, they got a range of fast bowlers.SLC board is lackluster and does not go to villages to find raw talent. This is why Malinga's tongue doesn't have brakes.

Bugs Bunny Wednesday, 28 June 2017 08:13 AM

He probably does not know what a contract is!!!

    Srilankan Wednesday, 28 June 2017 07:54 AM

discipline is something that we do not possess as a country..... so what do you expect from a beach boy!!!! he is correct by his own assumption and hon minster is correct by his own assumption...... the little pride we have as a country with regard to cricket is lost by the way.... it will be a miracle if can put together a sensible bunch of cricketers for 2019 WC!!!!

It looks like Malinga is the only person who involved in a crime in this country as the verdict against him came so quickly.

    Sofia Wednesday, 28 June 2017 07:27 AM

He has won matches for us and done credit to country and his inimitable style brought us fame. Unless you are Mohammed Amir of Pakistan, what have you achieved?Just do not do armchair criticism.

I THINK MAHELA ALSO CAN CLAIM FOR THE COMMENTS MADE BY SLT ON HIS EXPERIENCE.

    Mr.Perfect Tuesday, 27 June 2017 08:36 PM

The players are greedy and so is the SLC and members. This is the reason we are down and out today.

    Ban him for life.

    Amir Tuesday, 27 June 2017 10:27 PM

I am a great cricket lover. There is lot of difference between great players like Sanga and Mahela. Malinga thinks without him SLC cannot survive. If I were SLC I will sack him at once.

    MyLankaToo Tuesday, 27 June 2017 10:11 PM

Yahapalanaya = you have no rights to talk about ministers

    Bala Tuesday, 27 June 2017 09:29 PM

A case where you are punished for telling the truth and admitting it wrong under different clause. What he saidat the interview was damn correct.
