Good. They killed a captured rare animal and celebrated like it's a trophy. This country needs some discipline.

According to the the TV footage shown, the barbaric way the villagers have killed the leopard and the way they have behaved afterwards is most revolting.
Tamil Friday, 22 June 2018 09:15 PM
If this is barbaric then how would you characterise the all too common brtutal murders among the Sinhalese in the South.
Machan Saturday, 23 June 2018 09:02 AM
Machan Tamil, everything that happens in this country is not about sinhala or tamil. Some are about right or wrong. You must have the moral maturity to say wrong whent its wrong. Try to see the world out of your little box.

@Tamil - this is about the sickening behavior of humans. Not a question whether it is done by a Tamil or a Singhalese or a Muslim.

All those who were involved should be sent at least for 6 months jail term.

Ivory Friday, 22 June 2018 08:50 PM
Let’s send the white vans and finish the job. Wild life is more precious than a tamil fellow
Mandayan Friday, 22 June 2018 09:25 PM

lts not give a communal twist. we cannot condone such barbaric ways to kill animals.
Dot Saturday, 23 June 2018 04:38 AM
This is not a racial issue , but a crowd of people viciously attacking an animal in the presence of an official in Uniform too ..as I saw in the video .. How many are we going to arrest ? Do we charge the official of the offense of negligence of duty ? A stray animal should have been tranquilized and moved ..quick action was needed ..not this .
jayasiri Saturday, 23 June 2018 06:26 AM
Law should be equally applied to all regardless of race. This is one of the major problems in Sri Lanka.
Dee Saturday, 23 June 2018 07:32 AM
Spineless act. When it was tranquilized the superheroes jumped and attacks. Wish it recovered from the dose and Finnish off the spineless fellows who attacked it for good.

Govt. steps into a trap endorsing punishment to killers of a terrorizing leopard whose body being displayed as victory.
Chuti Saturday, 23 June 2018 08:10 AM
Y they killed it???For there safety if that leopard had killed a small baby Wht we say ( kill that animal )Before talking one side consider both side
YC Saturday, 23 June 2018 04:11 PM
@Chuti the leapord wouldnt have killed the baby by clubbing it and ripping it apart. It could have been sedated and released. No killing is ever justifiable let it be of a human or animal. All beings have a right to live.
Limal Saturday, 23 June 2018 05:21 PM
IF YOU ALL SHOUT HAA HEE FOR LEAPOARD KILLING , THEN WHERE THE VOICE FOR THAJUDEEN MURDER , PRADEEP , RAVIRAJ ,ETC. ALL KNOW WHO KILLED THESE , WHERE THE ARREST , WHERE THE LAW. THAT MEANS OUR HUMAN COURTS ARE WORST THAN ANIMAL COURTS
