The Henry Pedris Ground was officially handed over to the Isipathana College following an initiative taken by Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera, Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Development Minister Harin Fernando and Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils Faizer Mustapha to resolve the need of schools for a ground for its sports activities. A Memorandum of Understanding was handed over to the Principal of the School Premasiri Epa at Temple Trees in the presence of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade Malik Samarawickrama and Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam. If any one really loved the game of rugby and wanted sri lanka truly achieved its standard in the field of rugby,one of the major things he or she would have done was to give this school a play ground.We saw rugby enthusiastic politicians and players in the previous regime. BUT THEY NEVER DID THIS
