In commemoration of International Children’s Day, in the month October, Kanrich Finance launched two projects aimed at the upliftment of the lives of children with little access to both clean water and educational supplies. The projects were focused in the Hambantota District, the Tangalle Educational Zone, Agunakolapalassa, Pahalagama.

Children from Junior Schools were provided with equipment for extra-curricular musical activities, whilst a Clean Drinking Water project was inaugurated in Semmandaluwa Primary School in Puttalam.
The resilient and creative children of the Pahalagama Junior School would play musical instruments created from recycled materials in order to sustain their musical education. In tribute to their spirit, Kanrich Finance provided the school with instruments and band equipment. For the first time, the teachers were allowed to see the children apply their learning on to professional equipment at the ceremonial hand-over. It was indeed a joyous and emotional occasion for the parents to see their children who once fashioned drums out of lids of various discarded items to play on brand new musical equipment.

Puttalam is often considered an area where water is not ideal for consumption due to a significant amount of heavy metals in the water. These chemicals are often connected to the increase of Kidney Disease, Dental Fluorosis and Skeletal Fluorosis. Doctors recommend clean drinking water as the solution to these rising health issues.

Due to this, the children in Semmandaluwa Primary School were provided with water purification equipment that will ensure the salt and fluoride in the water is controlled while adverse bacteria are destroyed.

Kanrich Finance’s mandate towards their social responsibility takes on a targeted approach, aimed at seeking out areas that require immediate attention, much like the two projects launched this month.  These causes are carried out under the patronage and guidance of the top management including the Chief Executive Office, Shiran Weerasinghe and with the active contribution of the staff of Kanrich.
As a company privileged to win the hearts of Sri Lankans for 45 years, Kanrich Finance Limited has continued to gain the trust of more and more people by expanding its services offering. Kanrich Finance is a Central Bank approved financial company and continues to make its mark as a unique company in the industry.
