The President had instructed the IGP to take necessary legal action into the incident based on investigations.

Lord Wolfstein Sunday, 21 January 2018 03:11 PM

It is certainly not the job of the President to take care of this matter, nor the opening hours of Wine Stores. This President acts unprofessionally and interferes in matters that are far below his level.

Kingsley Wijesinhe Monday, 22 January 2018 07:07 PM

Unfortunately, the President has to do these things because the people who should be doing them are not doing them.

Mrs Hemalatha Mendis Sunday, 21 January 2018 04:31 PM

Kick the minister out. He is an animal.

    Voter Sunday, 21 January 2018 04:52 PM

After the probe , the CM may be made the SLFP Organiser for. UVA in the way Ananda Kumara of was made in the Wayambe by the President.

    Labby Sunday, 21 January 2018 04:58 PM

So it has come to the point where the Police waits until the President gives them orders? Why can't the Police act independently?

    IVJ Sunday, 21 January 2018 08:49 PM

Well said Labby. The IGP should be ashamed of his department and he is a mere order taker. The president has better things to do than doing IGP's job. At the end, this will all be a big noise only until the election is over.

    Nimal Sunday, 21 January 2018 05:28 PM

Good move. Time for zero tolerance from these unscrupulous politicians.

    Unchikun Sunday, 21 January 2018 05:38 PM

Now is the time for our good president to come to the aid of the humble school principal and pull out that rusty sword. This could be a good trial run or training for further draws. Do it sir.

    Bakir Sunday, 21 January 2018 05:48 PM

It could not be accepted treat a School principal such a way.

MAD DONKEY Sunday, 21 January 2018 07:11 PM

THIS IS A GOOD LESSON TO OUR POLITICIANS. MOST OF THEM THINK THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW AND NOTHING CAN BE DONE AGAINST THEM. OUR PRESIDENT SHOULD TEACH THEM A GOOD LESSON.

    Palugaswewa Sunday, 21 January 2018 07:20 PM

IGP, this is a challenge.Do not bow down to thugs wearing masks and misusing power. Do a very impartial inquiry and if found guilty, report to the president without fear. This is an acid test on police!

    cineha Sunday, 21 January 2018 07:45 PM

This is the curse on this country. IGP has to be told to do his duty. This has become very much routine now.

    stardust Sunday, 21 January 2018 08:09 PM

This minister is only fit to join the SLPP via DM Android App

Kalu Sudda Sunday, 21 January 2018 08:13 PM

When will these ignorant politicians learn that they are the servants of the people not vice versa. They should worship at least one human every hour of the day so that they will remember who the boss is. This applies to Presidents,Prime Ministers, Ministers and every one who gets a government cheque other than the retired folks, veterans and the disable. Now you can start by bowing to me.

    Mandy Sunday, 21 January 2018 08:48 PM

But news today showed the Police taking the Principal to the Ministers house to record his statement. Very unusual. Inquire into Police behaviour Mr IGP.

    Sincere Sunday, 21 January 2018 09:14 PM

Final outcome : Minister is innocent. Principal is guilty of complaining. Minister promoted like the other one, and teacher transferred. Matter over!

    southpaw Sunday, 21 January 2018 09:20 PM
