Several members of the Sri Lanka squad that will travel to south Africa were present at a media conference at SLC today. In a bizarre seating arrangement, the players were placed in front of the head table, visibly uncomfortable.

Is this a punishment given by swollen headed SLC officials to our young cricketers? Who's brain behind this scene? Please request the person responsible for this act to make a public apology.

Probably it's a clause in their new contract.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if the Australian, West Indian, South African or Pakistani teams were placed in a similar position, I doubt there would be a hue and cry. I can't understand this obsession over seating arrangements. The players were not asked to sit on the floor. Right now we have an under performing team that should be more concerned about winning on the field than seating arrangements.
