The economy that grew at 8% with MR is down to 3% with Ranil. The finance minister busy stealing for 2 years could be one of the reasons. Then, there is sense of no action, no dynamism. I think the UNP needs an action man of the Palitha Thewarappurma calibre.

Isn't this a same results in 2015. MR still won in 2015 but the total votes for the entire country were just a bit more than MR's total votes. Positive sings for both sides is that no one loses their block votes. So who ever who take a grip from here will win 2020. message from this election is people are still waiting since they start 2015 to fulfill the promises or make the development MR managed to do. Sri Lankans need action at any cost but not plans.
