Akalanka and Ishani Outstanding Swimmers

Akalanka Peiris and Ishani Senanayake, both from Western Province, bagged the Most Outstanding Players’ Awards in the Swimming Championships of the 44th National Sports Festival which concluded at the Sugathadasa Swimming Complex in Colombo.

Peiris won three Gold Medals (50 Metres Butterfly, 100 Metres Backstroke and 50 Metres Backstroke) while Senanayake won three Gold Medals (800 Metres Freestyle, 200 Metres Freestyle and 400 Metres Freestyle).

Western Province won both the Men’s and Women’s Swimming Championships.
