Nearly 186 people had received money from Arjun Aloysius, Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE) and Centre for Human Rights and Research Sri Lanka (CHR) Executive Director Keerthi Tennakoon said yesterday.
He said these figures might increase as more and more hidden data on the bond scam were exposed.
“We have done our part in educating the people on the bond scam. Now, it is up to the officials to take necessary action and expose the details of those who have received money from Arjun Aloysius,” Mr. Tennakoon said. “Politicians, state officials, religious leaders, journalists and some others are included in the list. We urge those responsible to expose these names before we unearth them and release them to the people.”
He said he had written to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya requesting him to obtain affidavits from the newly appointed Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) members, to prove they had not obtained any funds from Mr. Aloysius. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

Ok,please publish the names of 186 people without wasting country's precious time as there is a lot to be done in the country. Taking money from Alosius or from anybody else is not important to the people of this country at all. There are more important things, you guys should look into. Look like you have mixed up the priorities.

Who has accepted money after the bond scam is guilty and action should be against them. If we are to act against anyone accepted money prior to that, then we have to investigate everyone accepting money from anyone. Positive that almost all the politicians have accepted money from some businessmen for some reason or another.

CaFFE must get the list of people who received bribes from PTL company. Tell them their bosses will be out of jail if they produce the list. This Number 118 was the score made by Dayasiri who played as captain of the bribery game.

All parliamentarians who have received money from Arjuna should resign and be banned from contesting any election. This will ensure that the parliamentarians will think twice before taking any money. All those who took money shoul also be forced to return the money as this is public property Those who can't pay should be put in jail!

How can the "authorities" take action when the very authorities are implicated in the scam? Doesn't the shuffling of feet on processing an investigation and prosecuting offenders if found guilty say a lot as to who may or may not be involved? To reveal the names will be political suicide. As for the country not caring about potential corruption and a den of thieves running our country, that's a stupid statement. The country voted the present government into power for this very reason - to root out corruption after the last regime. But the ones who came on a slogan of good governance were the first to succumb to corruption it appears.
