12 injured in multi-vehicle accident

At least 12 people were injured following a multi-vehicle accident at Elivitiya Junction on the Chilaw – Anamaduwa Road early today, Police said.

Chilaw Police said three motorcycles, a three-wheeler and a car were involved in the accident that took place around 2.00 am.
The injured who were identified as residents of Kumarakattuwa were admitted to the Chilaw Hospital while a critically injured person was later transferred to the National Hospital in Colombo.
Police said they met with the accident while returning after attending a musical show in Elivitiya.(Thilanka Kanakarathna)
