Great majority of Sri lankans are like Jim... narrow minded... That's why Sri lanka is going to mark another, "lost opportunity" status in social and economic development effort by an Asian country. Many scholars around the world said it during 1970s and early 1980s when we were just behind only 4 Asian tigers and japan in Asia but failed to achieve development status.....Today we are bahind many other Asian nations....

JVP is talking of democracy and fairness. These are the people who used their infiltrators in the election commissioner's office to disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of opposition voters from the electoral register in 2005. This is their democarcy.
They claim to be leftists. They are right in that. Their voter base had "left" them, their memories had "left" them, their senses had "left" them and very soon they will be nothing "left" of them as a political party.
